Crime headlines: Shoplifter aggravated assault; Fence climber injuries; Marijuana seized

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Tucson police are looking for two shoplifters who hit a south side Walmart and threatened an employee who tried to stop them.

Police say a Hispanic man and white woman were stuffing items into her purse, and made a break for the door.

The man pulled a gun when a security guard confronted them.

The woman might be pregnant.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.

NOGALES, Ariz. -- The taller border fence in downtown Nogales appears to be making things tougher for illegal immigrants.

Nogales police say several recent crossing attempts have ended in injuries, including a least two broken legs resulting from falls.

A four-month, $11.6 million project replaced the old 10-foot-tall fence with an improved barrier that ranges from 23 to 30 feet in height topped by 5-feet of metal sheeting designed to discourage climbers.

The Border Patrol insists it holds no responsibility for people who get hurt climbing the fence.

The biggest bust came when an abandoned truck was found with 103 bundles of marijuana inside.

All told, the drugs weighed 4300 pounds.
